The goals for the Villa Park Basketball program are to represent VPHS and the community as an important part of its complete educational process and establish a tradition of developing responsible and dedicated student athletes. Never forgetting that academics comes before athletics.
We aim to build the VPHS basketball program into a perennial Championship contender based on the understanding that success comes as a result of hard work, dedication and commitment.
Teamwork, Attitude, Effort, Discipline, Competitiveness and Concentration!
Since 1996, Coach Reynolds has been instrumental in Villa Park High School producing some of the top basketball players in Southern California including multiple All League, all CIF, and several Collegiate players as well as a McDonalds All American. Coach Reynolds has helped more than 17 players over the last 24 years to continue playing at a higher level after graduating from high school.
Villa Park has also set the standard for being a traditional powerhouse program in Southern California. The Spartans have made three CIF Finals in 1997, 2003, and 2017 as well as qualifying for the State tournament in 1997, 2003, 2006 and 2017. Currently Villa Park High School holds the Orange County CIF record for most consecutive home wins (73) from 1999-2007. 2016-2017 is another banner year, just see the Team !!!
The success amongst our young men and our long tradition of winning could not have been accomplished without the strong community support and involvement that the players, their parents and fans have provided
throughout the years.
You are formally invited to once again share in the upcoming season of basketball. Your support has sustained a level of academic and athletic success that our young men strive to achieve.
